Saaz Aur Awaaz is an invitation to listen attentively, to let go of time for a moment and allow yourself to be carried away by the age-old art of raga and tala. During this special concert, Saaz – the instrument – and Awaaz – the human voice – come together in a captivating dialogue.

Sitar player Partha Bose brings the rich tradition of Indian classical music to life with virtuosity, sensitivity and a deep sense of melody. His playing ranges from tranquil, meditative moments to sparkling and rousing improvisations. Singer Esha Bandyopadhyay transports the audience into the subtle and expressive world of the Indian raga. Through her voice, a musical landscape unfolds in which emotion, poetry and age-old tradition converge.

This musical encounter is led by Heiko Dijker, the leading Dutch tabla player, whose refined rhythmic language and virtuoso playing create a dynamic and inspiring dialogue with both the sitar and the voice. The enchanting sounds of the sitar, the expressive richness of Indian classical singing and the refined rhythms of the tabla come together in an evening full of beauty, improvisation and musical depth.
