Heavy brass instruments, brutal riffage, pounding drums, cojones and Spanish urban lyrics that make you wonder “did they just say that?”. Sure they did! They go by the name of ¡PENDEJO! and will make Grounds erupt like a volcano on March 29.

¡PENDEJO! is a heavy rock band from the Netherlands, founded by two cousins with a past in Latin America. Their music has been described as heavy, addictive, rough and grooving. Or as a critic so eloquently put it: “Heavy rock in Spanish with balls the size of Danny DeVito”.

On December 7th 2007 ¡PENDEJO! played its first show in Caracas, Venezuela. Since that memorable show, the band did numerous tours in Europe and Latin America, shared stages with influential heavyweights like Fu Manchu, Karma To Burn, Mondo Generator and Helmet, and did support for Monster Magnet on their European tour in 2018.

¡PENDEJO! released, in collaboration with Pieter Kloos (Motorpsycho, Ween, Barkmarket, Dool), their fourth full-length album ‘VOLCÁN’ last spring, continuing that wild journey into the universe where brass and heavy guitars meet.

El Fatso (support act)

El Fatso hits you like a wrecking ball and takes you on a crazy ride full of guitar bravado. Hold on tight: you’ll be rocked, you’ll be rolled, you’ll feel fierce and you’ll feel bold.

With dirty hooks, rough riffs and catchy choruses, El Fatso knows how to overwhelm the audience with positive energy like no other. Their first single ‘Rodion’ immediately became the most listened-to song on Reddit and at Eendracht Festival 7.0 they won the audience award. Since then, they have rocked various venues in the Netherlands and abroad with their energetic show and played support shows for Ten Times A Million in 2020. During the corona pandemic, the band wrote their newest record ‘Bravado’: dark and gloomy times ask for dark and gloomy music. After a successful release show at DBs, they will now set Grounds on fire.
