On the occasion of inJazz, a special edition of the World Blend Café in the cafe of Podium Grounds. The focus is on the lively world/jazz scene in Rotterdam. This edition is the closing event of inJazz 2022 including international inJazz-guests.
A musical meeting interspersed with speakers & spectacle to highlight Rotterdam’s global roots and contemporary scene. A unique opportunity to mingle with agents and programmers from all over Europe.
In seaport Rotterdam old roots melt into new musical routes. With its multinational population, this creative city offers a fertile environment for musical innovation. This is expressed in clubs, festivals and the internationally renowned Codarts conservatory, which specialises in flamenco, Latin, morna and Indian music. Moreover, Rotterdam is known as ‘the 10th island of Cape Verde’. The very first record label of both Bonga and Cesaria Evora, Morabeza Records, started in Rotterdam as the vinyl vignette of a lively Cape Verdean community.
