The Obsessed

There are many cult figures in the music world. Scott “Wino” Weinrich is a good example of this. Because of his outspoken opinion, but especially because of his music. For example, through his role as frontman in Saint Vitus or with Spirit Caravan, to name just two examples. Wino’s first band with which he had success is The Obsessed. Founded in the late 70s, he released three albums in the 90s on the legendary label Hellhound Records. The Obsessed then stopped and made a fresh start in 2016. Now the band is coming to Europe for a tour that revolves entirely around the third album “The Church Within” (1994). For many, perhaps the album of The Obsessed. There is even a German record label named after it. If you like heavy music with roots in the Black Sabbath sound, then you should not miss this show.

Mould

Mould is a relatively young Dutch band that presents a mixture of doom and sludge. In 2024, the first album “Pull & Repulsion” will be released, which is well received by the press and the public. The central theme of the album revolves around duality, which is reflected in the total package. You can discover for yourself in GROUNDS that there are also bands of this caliber in the Low Countries. If you like bands like Thou, YOB or Neurosis, you should definitely come and take a look.
