Baroeg on Tour & Live Hard presents: Pro-Pain + Becoming AD + Soulbearer

It’s been almost thirty years since Pro-Pain embarked on its first European triumph. With support acts like The Spudmonsters and Life Of Agony, they sold out countless venues back then. Pro-Pain’s distinctive hardcore, thanks in part to its metallic edge, attracted a more diverse crowd than many hardcore bands. They also appreciated how incredibly tight the band delivered every show. That approach has been the benchmark by which Pro-Pain has measured itself ever since, making every return of the New York die-hards a welcome reunion. The last time these die-hards played Baroeg was in 2008. 3voor12 called it “a real party” at the time, and according to the reviewer, the band was “as tight as a duck’s ass.” Quack!

Becoming A.D.

The post-apocalyptic cobra cover of Becoming AD’s new EP ‘Shedding Skin’ could easily have been lifted from an ’80s metal release. Thrash and metalcore are certainly amplified in this Belgian crossover. The result is a series of sizzling tracks that will have you tearing up the house.

Soulbearer

With the description “death-infused hardcore,” Soulbearer pretty much sums it up. Anything but deathcore, more like what Obituary would sound like if they were a crusty hardcore band. That’s a really good punch!
