Lab Grounds proudly presents: The Playgrounds Sessions! This summer, we will open our cosy garden again and every two weeks we will serve you the best live music, the tastiest food and the coldest drinks to create an amazing evening together. Each session, we invite a couple of artists who will take you on a musical journey into their wonderful world. And this weekend we kick off summer in a big way, as we open the building for three days of numerous activities and performances during HBS Fest. You can find the full programme here.

Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy is a self-proclaimed troubadour, scared of the term singer/songwriter and reluctantly brands his sound as alternative folk. Four years after falling in love with music in England, Brian moved at the age of 12 to Rotterdam and continued to evolve his musicality there. While he avoids naming direct inspirations, his cat remains a constant muse in his creative process.

Daniëlle Santos Gomes

Daniëlle Santos Gomes is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Rotterdam who effortlessly blends influences of R&B, soul, jazz, folk and Cape Verdean music into her original songs. Inspired by her curiosity about the world and people, she writes creative stories that incite change and touch you deep down.
