Let yourself be transported to the world of Indian classical music during an exceptional concert by the masterful sitar player Supratik Sengupta and tabla virtuoso Heiko Dijker. From the enchanting sounds of the sitar to the sparkling, hypnotic rhythms of the tabla.

Supratik Sengupta hails from Kolkata, the legendary City of Joy — a city of poets, artists, intellectuals and musicians. Drawing on this vibrant cultural world, he brings the profound refinement and spiritual richness of Indian classical music to the stage. His sitar playing moves between tranquillity and rapture, between subtle melodic lines and an increasingly intense musical dialogue.

Alongside him is Heiko Dijker, one of the Netherlands’ leading tabla players. With virtuosity, sensitivity and an exceptional sense of rhythm, he brings the tabla to life in all its colours and nuances. His playing is at once powerful and refined, rooted in tradition yet full of freedom. Together, Supratik Sengupta and Heiko Dijker create a fascinating musical encounter: a journey through raga and tala, in which time seems to disappear and melody and rhythm unfold in a continuous dialogue.

Support act: Aryan Raj Goercharan, a highly talented tabla player.
