Lab Grounds proudly presents: The Playgrounds Sessions! This summer, we will open our cosy garden again and every two weeks we will serve you the best live music, the tastiest food and the coldest drinks to create an amazing evening together. Each session, we invite a couple of artists who will take you on a musical journey into their wonderful world.

Babette Zwinkels

Babette Zwinkels is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Rotterdam with a crystal-clear voice and a heart full of music. Her dreamy pop songs, with a touch of cabaret, touch you deeply and tell stories of love, the longing to be seen, and embracing discomfort, with a disarming honesty that stays with you. Live, she brings her music to life alongside multi-instrumentalist Thomas Heikoop.

Engel Gaardner

Engel Gaardner is a songwriting duo consisting of visual artist/songwriter Olivia Degen and guitarist Benjamin de Raad. Engel Gaardner creates atmospheric, meticulous music; think Jessica Pratt, Nick Drake and João Giberto. Last year, the duo recorded their debutalbum on tape, which they plan to release this fall with TinyroomRecords.
