Lab Grounds proudly presents: The Playgrounds Sessions! This summer, we will open our cosy garden again and every two weeks we will serve you the best live music, the tastiest food and the coldest drinks to create an amazing evening together. Each session, we invite a couple of artists who will take you on a musical journey into their wonderful world.

Curtis Millen

Curtis Millen is an Irish soul-funk artist whose electrifying live performances blend the emotional depth of classic soul with the energy of modern funk, house, and disco. Born in West Belfast in the aftermath of conflict, he channels resilience and lived experience into a sound shaped by Motown, Jazz, and the raw edge of ’90s grunge and hip-hop.

Kevin Bokomo

Kevin Bokomo, born and raised in Congo, is a singer-songwriter with a background in soul and African gospel music. He explores the vibrant music scene in hometown Rotterdam to bring his blend of soul, R&B and funk to life. His vocal influences come from Al Green, D’Angelo, and Lokua Kanza, among others. One word undoubtedly connects Kevin and the vocalists he admires: smooth.
