With her original blend of folk, indie and acoustic pop, Turkish singer and songwriter Kalben has become one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from Istanbul. Drawing inspiration from artists such as PJ Harvey, Sevinç Tevs, Nazan Öncel, David Bowie and Tom Waits, she creates music that is intimate, poetic and emotionally direct.
Kalben was first discovered in 2014 through Sofar Sounds, where a performance that now counts more than five million views on YouTube introduced her to a wide audience. Since then her rise has been remarkable, with beloved songs such as “Sadece”, “Yara” and “Saçlar” and several major Turkish music awards.
In March 2026, she released her new album Land of Lost Poets. The record reveals a deeper and more atmospheric side of her songwriting. Her music moves between dark poetic storytelling and a fragile yet adventurous sonic world. The result is a sound that feels both intimate and unpredictable, where quiet acoustic moments meet bold emotional expression.
In Fall 2026 Kalben brings this new chapter to the stage with the Land of Lost Poets Tour. Audiences can expect one of the most open and daring live performances on the European circuit, where poetry, vulnerability and powerful songs come together in a truly unforgettable concert experience.
