Screaming guitars, haunting rhythms, smoking feedback, and futuristic synths: the dealers of Dope Purple take you on a psychedelic trip with their ritualistic and intense sound.

This five-piece psychedelic noise rock/space-psychedelic band from Taipei, Taiwan, was formed around 2016. Sinche then, they channel influences from hard rock, noise and psychedelia with a particular emphasis on sounds from the Japanese underground and turn them into a cosmic guitar explosion. As hosts of the Taipei Psychedelic Rock Festival, they are also committed to promoting Taiwan’s psychedelic rock culture.

Dope Purple’s new album ‘Children In The Darkness’ was recorded when the band hosted a live midnight recording session at Revolver, Taipei. The album only has three tracks, but it takes you on a 50-minute meditative journey through the infinite darkness and deafening noise of the night. So buckle up for a mind-blowing experience during their live show at GROUNDS.
